With a history of 1400 years, the techniques of inlaying fabric have being passed on for generations. We freely use those techniques to innovate for today’s lifestyle needs.

That said – we believe in preserving these ancient Japanese techniques. The opportunities that come from a combination of old and new drives us.

We’d like to break the misconception that traditional crafts are limited in results & continue to amaze people by showing off the potential of inlaying fabric.

I achieve these through the techniques my grandfather taught me. It is simply about being true to this craft.

My grandfather was a considerate man and his works expressed a true sense of modesty. As a child, I was fascinated with this aspect of his work. It motivates me, so that my own work evokes that sense of modesty and consideration.

I treasure the relationships I have with people from different occupations and backgrounds.

I want to grow further by extending those relationships with people everywhere.
